The M.Danse Collective (MDC) was created to fuel creation through collaboration between the different genres of the arts.
Created by movement enthusiast Megan Navarro, with the intention to explore, create and share between groups of artists.
MDC is made up of Megan and two other dancers, Zaidee Walker and Ladelin Garcia.

Meet the company...
Megan Navarro
Artistic Director, Choreographer, Dancer
She developed her passion for dance at the young age of four when she started her training at The Thora Dumbell School of Dance, under the direction of Thora Dumbell herself. She then trained with The Tobago Academy Of Performing Arts under Charlene Harris, Richard Lessey and Arlene Frank, where she trained in ballet, modern and tap. In 1999, she received a full scholarship to attend a summer program at The Ballet Hispanico School of the Arts. In 2006, she found her passion when she took on her first challenge teaching young children tap at & 5, 6, 7, 8 Dance Studios, where she continued to teach for one year.
Megan is a graduate of The School of Toronto Dance Theatre professional training program, 2007-2010,
Upon completion of the program, Megan was awarded the "Solo Summer Project", and had the privilege of working with well-known choreographer Sharon Moore on a solo work of her own.
After returning home in May 2011, she joined the team at Elle NYTT Dance Company in September 2011. She currently holds the roles of dance instructor, choreographer, and performer. Megan teaches Modern at both their Cascade and Curepe location.

Zaidee Walker
Choreographer, Dancer
began her dance training at Bentley Potter School of Dance where she completed the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations in Classical Ballet up to the Advance Level. She graduated in 2009 from the Savannah College of Art and Design B.F.A. program in Architecture with a minor in Dance. She performed in SCAD's mainstage dance productions each year of her enrollment as well as with local dance companies. She most recently completed the Diploma in Dance Studies programme at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London after which she created pieces with Transitions Dance Company. She is thrilled to be part of the M.Danse Collective.
